Life is for those that show up

Laura Ingalls Wilder once wrote: " The Little House books are stories of long ago. Today our way of living and our schools are much different;so many things have made living and learning easier.
But the real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have;to be happy with the simple pleasures and to be cheerful and have courage when things go wrong."

Mary - Just stopping by to say I miss you already. I ckd out your photo's and ended up snitching a couple. You are already probably aware I do that occasionally. I know you are probably close to goal and need a break from SparkPeople, but also know we are never at the end of our healthy living journey. I hope you continue to hang out and remain my friend.
I am thinking you might come back for the baseball challenge in Jan. I will keep my fingers crossed. Stay healthy and well and keep in touch. Luv U GF. MA

Thanks for the great reply to my blog! I admire your strength as I've read your posts over the months of your struggling with your dental problems. I hope to remain strong as well . My dr has said I need to lose 50 lbs! It's doable but it will be lots of hard work in the months ahead.

Thanks for stopping by my page to read my blog. Before I started my summer Spark break I was getting pretty overwhelmed with everything and was about ready to give up altogether. I think a big part of that was the time it takes to try and track everything. If I saw results from my efforts it would have been different but I never did. I need to find something that will work for me long term and I know I'm not going to spend that much time tracking every morsel I eat every day for the rest of my life - just being realistic. When I participate in a challenge that requires it I do it though, that's different because it's to accomplish another short-term goal. I wish you luck in your efforts.
