Bringing sassy back

Hi, My name is Tiffany and I am 24 years old. I work as a mental health counselor and spend my days helping other people think about their own wellness. I often neglect myself in this process. Currently I am at the highest weight I have ever been at and it has been something that has made me miserable and self conscious for at least the last year. I've been neglecting my body with drinking, overeating, smoking, and not exercising so it's no wonder I feel miserable most of the time. I am in my early 20's. I should be happy and healthy, but instead I always feel self conscious about my weight and appearance. I don't want to lose a ton of weight, because I'd love to stay curvy and not look too small, but one thing is for sure I want to GET MY SASSY BACK. I have some of the most supportive friends and family...and the best boo in the whole world. Recently he lost about 25 pounds when we did weight watchers together...I was a cheater so I didn't have as much success but I'm ready for some life changes this time around! Along with getting my sassy back by becoming healthier physically I have realized I need to take more time out for myself. I want to have a happy inside and outside :)

My Goals:
-Run a 5k for something I believe in.
-Lose 30 to 50 pounds before vacation in May 2013.
-Work on a self-care binder for my place of employment.
My Program:
I have used weight watchers plus in the past and really enjoyed it. It's a slow change but I believe in the process of making life changes and not just dieting for a few weeks.
I will combine that with the verrry useful tools of sparkpeople.
Personal Information:
I grew up in upstate NY-the actual upstate near the Adirondack mountains so I have always enjoyed being outside and doing outside activities. I hope I can put this into play in my journey to healthier me :)
Other Information:
I am a super bookworm and love to read anything. I am currently working on reading about reiki practices and the dalai lama inner peace articles and books.
