Dachelle's Journey

You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know.

Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

One year ago I decided to take my life back! My cholesterol was high, I was having heart palpatations, and I felt hopeless! My wakeup call came from my cardiologist who gave me 3 months to lower the cholesterol or go on medications! As you can see below, mission accomplished!

Since that date, I have lost 50 pounds (20 in the months before), I have participated in 4 5Ks, and I have met awesome friends through Spark People to help me through the journey!

I surprised not only my doctor, but myself! At this point, there is no doubt that I will one day succeed! I have the tools I need to get me where I want to go and my support system is in place. This is my life! I choose where I go from here, and I choose health!

If you need encouragement on this journey, please friend me, and I will do my best to cheer you to the finish line!

Here are my cholesterol numbers...

Oh yeah!! I am a P90X convert!! I am LOVING P90X! Most importantly, I think it is a very well rounded program. My shoulders are not letting me do the yoga at the moment, but are replacing it with stretching. The other are 3 days of ST and one day "cardio" and another day plyometrics. I am feeling better, and all this exercise is helping me make better food choices as I do NOT want all my hard work to go to waste! My turning point though is having DH with me on the journey. He is working on getting 6 pack abs, so he is pushing himself and doing the diet and supplements with me. If he wouldn't be doing this with me, I would not be where I am today with this and being consistent. I really owe it all to my DH. I am still focusing on one meal at a time though even with my plan. You CAN do it! Thanks for stopping by!!

Sorry, changed the spelling of your name in the last second and knew it was incorrect. Dachelle, Dachelle, Dachelle. I will remember.
