My *SPARK* RESTART PLAN 2015

Part 1 - My word of the year for 2015 is AFFECTION. Using that word based on an affirmation written by Cheryl Richardson in her "Grace" cards. That is: "Love yourself. You are the ultimate act of creation, fashioned by the hands of a Divine Artist." My goal is to use this word as a guide to self-care.

My *SPARK* RESTART PLAN 2015

Part 1 - My word of the year for 2015 is AFFECTION. Using that word based on an affirmation written by Cheryl Richardson in her "Grace" cards. That is: "Love yourself. You are the ultimate act of creation, fashioned by the hands of a Divine Artist." My goal is to use this word as a guide to self-care.

Part 2 of my *SPARK* Restart plan is to participate in the 2015 5% Summer Challenge. In planning my course within the Challenge, I need to be realistic in what I can do to make it successful, reviewing what worked & didn't work in 2014.

*SPARK* RESTART PLAN 2015
NUTRITION:
1. Drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday.
2. Log my food plan for the day in the morning (or evening prior).
3. Be aware of nutrient contents of foods I choose.
4. Be conscious when planning the day's meals & snacks.
5. I know from my successful challenges that eating more frequent, smaller meals works for me.
That's my plan.

EXERCISE:
1. Do a minimum of 20 minutes of strength training each day, preferably morning.
2. Walk at least 20 minutes each day.
That's the plan.

MOTIVATION:
1. The more I eat healthier and exercise, the better I feel...and the more exercise I can do without tiring. That will give me a sense of accomplishment.
2. My Casual Travellers team is counting on me to help move us forward.
3. And, yes, I admit it - feels good to fit into smaller clothes and reap the compliments on the weight loss.

ROADBLOCKS:
1. One major roadblock really - work. I work long hours, i.e. I am in a 12 day work week at the moment. Because of that, when I get home, I eat anything I can grab or find a drive-thru fast food restaurant.
2. Another is stress - stress at work, particularly drama into which I allow myself to be drawn.
3. Financial stress, since I work for a non-profit and it can be difficult to manage on my paycheck.
4.Not enough time with friends that are not connected to work.

PLAN TO OVERCOME ROADBLOCKS:
1. Work schedule - find pockets of time when I get stay home (like this morning) and not work, including checking work emails.
2. Close my office door or just tell people that my space is a drama-free zone .
3. Go back to using my budget worksheet.
4. Contact personal friends and establish dates that are entered into my calendar just like a work obligation.

AM I READY TO WIN?
Yes, I am! My goal for the 8 weeks? To eliminate 12 lbs.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm not a big fan of soy-based products either. I use almond, coconut or rice milk. I really don't like meat and the way it makes me feel. I actually get stomach pains when eating it. I'm considering revising things a bit for myself and having protein shakes with almond or coconut milk and seeing what that does. There has to be a vegan alternative!

Sorry you haven't seen any Sunshine my friend. I was trying to share with you... hehehe I've been posting for you to enjoy the warm sun at the beach in Hawaii with Cheryl... Those waves lapping the shore and that warm sunshine warming you to the bones... I was there with you every day. Hey I was trying. hehehe Hope you are feeling better and hope this winter ends soon for you M'amica. We are having one of the coldest days today and dropping to freezing temps tonight.
