Personal Information:
My name is Phyllis but I have been called MawMaw for lots of years now.
I am 74 years old, live in the country in southwest Indiana.
Through my life I have tried WeightWatcher, TOPS and lots of things that make me cringe now in hindsight. The Spark Program is the first time that I have taken control of my own program and made it just for me instead of following the "one size fits all" outlined for me by others.

Other Information:
My joys, besides my large beautiful family, are any type of sewing, knitting, quilting, etc. and sitting on the front porch with a good book!

Thank you for deciding to come and visit my page today, and to read my "The Positive Side of Discouragement" blog! I have reached a plateau on my weight loss again, and I have been trying to understand and get past it.

I sometimes have difficulty facing Monday mornings because I know it's the start of a whole week ahead, but the last few weeks have seen no perceived progress, and I was beginning to become quite discouraged. As the week wore on, I thought others might be having the same difficulty, too - and so as I mulled things over in my head, this blog evolved.

Thanks for all your positive feedback on this blog! I do hope that whenever you are feeling discouraged, you'll remember to stop and search for the "positive side of your disappointment".

I'm glad that you found it helpful and worthwhile, and that it helped to put some things into perspective for you too, and gave you a new perspective - along with a positive spin on your day to help you finish your week with renewed spirit!
