Hi. I am here to make a huge change in my life. I have finally had my "enough is enough" moment and I am choosing to live my life to it's fullest instead of being inhibited by my weight. I have a lot of things I want to do now that my kids are basically grown. My hubs and I plan on doing a lot of traveling and I want to be fit and healthy as possible for that experience. I also used to be on a master's swim team and I loved that so much! I don't know why I let my weight get the best of me? I let it take so much away from my life that I loved, like being athletic, swimming, playing tennis, biking, hiking, playing baseball, riding horses, not to mention the way I used to feel about myself and the reaction I used to get from men (it's been a very long time since anyone really looked at me) which was always a nice harmless boost to the self esteem. I suffered from chronic depression for a long time and basically withdrew from everyone and everything. I have for the most part overcome that and now I am ready to reclaim my life. I know the road ahead will not be easy but nothing great is easily gained (unless you are referring to the size of my butt).
So in a nutshell, Me: 46 years old (but am holding up fairly well people always think I am much younger, woo hoo!) but inside I feel like 25, married for 20 years , mother of three grown kids, Welsh Corgi loving (I have three), funny, sarcastic, articulate, tempestuous, creative, stubborn, loyal, moody, complicated, soon to be fit and healthy inside and out woman.
To be a healthy weight and start doing the things I love to do, but had given up due to my weight like: swimming, riding horses, dancing, traveling, actually being in pictures instead of just taking them.
To exercise on a regular basis, build strength, and flexibility
I am (of course) limiting my caloric intake and EXERCISING EVERYDAY!!!!
1. Drink 10 to 12 Cups of Water Everyday!
2. Eat between 1200-1400 calories daily
3. Eat a diet high in lean protein, complex carbohydrates, low fat and low sugar!!!
4. Eat a high fiber/high protein breakfast EVERYDAY!!!
5. Cardio 5 days a week for a minimum of 60 minutes
6. Strength training 3 days a week. Monday-upper body, Wednesday-Core/Abs, Friday-lower body, for a minimum of 30 minutes
7. Rest one day a week
8. Have fun
9. Ask for help when I need it and give help when I can.
I am originally from Seattle, but have lived in Houston for the last 17 years and have taken up my mantle as a misfit with pride!
I love music, cooking (all kinds of cuisines from Italian to Greek to Morrocan to Chinese you name it!) books, art, tattoos, inappropriate humor (hey I like to laugh) and discussion, a good cup of coffee, drinking wine, road trips, a good stiff Gin and Tonic, photography, camping at the beach, going to see live music, hanging out with my kids just laughing.
Would love to meet other fun, eccentric, positive people!

Things are good, I spent my small bundle of cha-ching on a new kitchen. It started in January, when we had a huge snow storm. There was a hammer in the kitchen and I couldn't resist knocking a hole in the soffit to see what was up there.....my son came up and said "what the heck are you doing?" When I said Im taking the soffet and wall out, he ran out to the garage and came up with a sledge hammer and the fun got serious. I love it! I am a much better cook, hence the weight gain. Are you a face booker?

I just came back to Spark and see you are here too! How are you? I gained a ton of weight and am going to fight this off! I am planning to do a mini triathelon one year from June, time to kick it up a notch!
