It's time to finally lose this excess weight and get fit and healthy. I have spent most of my 48 years struggling with my weight and losing the battle most of the time. My husband and I have been happily married for 15 years and have done a lot together....including adding on the pounds. My husband and I have been happily married for 15 years and have done a lot together....including adding on the pounds. Over the past year, we have really focused on getting our finances in order so that we were no longer living paycheck to paycheck. The key for us was doing a budget using virtual envelopes. It's amazing how quickly a little bit of money saved each week towards something adds up.

Now we are applying the same idea to our weight loss. We are focusing on adding activity into every day and tracking what we eat. I will be turning 50 in a couple of years and am determined to begin the new decade fit and fabulous.

My Program:
Although I joined SparkPeople a few years ago, my official start day actively using it was June 2, 2014.

I am using the SparkPeople nutritional tracker and focusing on staying within not only my calories, but also my carbs, fats and proteins. I am eating more natural, quality food that my body craves. I also use my Fitbit One to track my steps throughout the day.

Personal Information:
I am from northern Indiana. I am married to a wonderful man. We were never able to have kids, but we have two dogs that keep us entertained.

Hi Sweetie, thank you for stopping by my page. You are so welcome for the encouragement. You deserve every bit of it. You can do this and all things through Christ. And so can I. I too slip up from time to time. I was very upset with my oldest sons ex. She said and did some very bad things to my 5 year old grand daughter. I tried to let my son handle it, but the mother called and dragged me into it. This put me into a bad place and I didn't binge, I just didn't count my calories or worry about what I was eating and gained 4 pounds. But, once I realized that I had given my emotions this kind of control, I decided enough was enough and got back on track. Whether it is a few minutes or a few days off track once you realize that you need to get back on track, just do it. And you are back in control. Not only did I give in to my emotions, but I gave my ex-daughter in law control as well. I stewed in my anger and let , my emotions build up. Well guess what. I called her back and gave her a lesson or two in how to be a mother. I also told her if she ever talked to my grand daughter in the manner that she had previously done before. That I would be making a call to CPS. There will be no more giving control to other people if I can help it. Remember you are not alone. We are in it together.
