A Healthier Year

My goals are simple - eat right, exercise, lose weight, and stay healthy. Weight loss is definitely a part of it, but I figure I should start with the important parts first. I have found I work better with smaller, short term goals. I need to see results because it seems just looking and feeling better isn't motivation enough!

I am a married Mother of four, one of whom has special needs. After a lengthy illness that resulted in several abdominal surgeries and various follow-up treatments, I'm finally in the clear, on the mend, and very much ready to get my weight and daily exercise routine under control. I've let things go for far too long, using far too many excuses. Even if other people think they are valid, I know they are not.

I'm very active, but not always in the "right" ways. Our life is always a bit hectic and socially-based, so I'm taking advantage of having just moved a few thousand miles away from everyone we know and using this time to get myself into a set routine of eating properly and exercising consistently.

My Goals:
Short Term Goals:

- Lose 25 lbs total by February 14, 2014.

- Circuit train 5x per week.

-Walk at least 1 mile daily.



Eat Right.
Exercise.
Stay Healthy.
Sleep Well.

My Program:
-Keep track of all food and drinks each day.
-Log all exercise (30 minutes per day - 5 days per week)
-Keep track of sleep.
-Play more Wii with the children.
-Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred.


Personal Information:
We are East Coasters who moved to a lovely Island in the Pacific at the end of 2013. We're trying to embrace the much-hyped "Island Attitude" and become a little more mellow and laid back. So far, it seems to be working.

I am a Mother of four children who range in age from 12 - 20. My husband is an active duty Veteran in the military.

Other Information:
I am an avid reader, pretty decent baker, and have a multitude of very diverse interests. I also unapologetically love both the Kardashians and Nickelback.
