Living life and wanting to enjoy it!

I'd heard it all the time, 'Live in the moment.'
But if I did that, I'd weigh more than a dump truck.
Losing weight wasn't about the moment at all; it was about having faith in the future.
It was about knowing there would be another meal in a few hours.

I had to laugh out loud when you suggested it might be because the weather is getting colder. Granted, it's about 25 degrees cooler than a couple months ago...but that means it's only down in the 80's. LOL No, I don't think it was the weather. Perhaps it was...but the opposite--too warm. Just crazy.

Thanks for the thought, though!! emoticon

2 years ago you commented on my site and I only just read it now, I'm bad. You were and are so right about divorce. He and his 'stuff' are taking up less and less of my time, especially now that we live 1400-km apart (16-hr drive). He just had a new baby with his mistress-turned-g/f so I'm hoping that will keep him off my butt for a few years. I'm back at Sparkpeople and I mean it this time! Good luck with your own fitness and weight loss plan.

Wow, you've lived in some beautiful places! Lucky girl.

I can hardly swim a length without sounding like a Hoover myself, but I think that's just cause of my out of shapeness and me being uncoordinated and inefficient, LOL. We do have a competitive swimmer who has asthma and was affected by indoor pools, how unlucky! Something to do with if the pool has enough air filtration and back flow...i have no idea...he got REAL technical during that discussion.

You know, the cold is serious business for my child as well. It seems he is allergic to snow and cold air, no joke. He ALWAYS gets sick if he is outside in it more than an hour. Maybe that's part of it too.

I hope as the weight melts off of you (and it will) that it eases up. Good vibes and healthy thoughts all for you! :D

Thanks for the blog love! You have asthma? Mine is illness-induced but I'm always ready for some new trigger.

Actually swimming competitively was recommended to us for Boo. He is the serious asthma sufferer. If it weren't for swimming, I know he'd have his inhaler as a necklace, now he powers through his yearly tests, even beats me! I highly recommend it even if only to crosstrain to save your knees and toes. :)
Of course, I suck at it, but I still try. I shame my child, I know. :P He tells me to do backstroke cuz I look like less of a dork. All in good fun. :D
