Hi! Just saw your comment on my page. Being from KY is great! It's one of the most beautiful states I've ever seen and the Gorge is my #1 favorite place to be. I would gladly get lost down there :)
I adore the hobbit! I didn't actually see the last movie so I don't know what most of the hoopla the fans were up in arms about is... about. I think Tolkien was a very imaginative writer (even though people do think he plagiarized...) As much as I love dwarrow though, my favorite character from any of his books is probably Glorfindel and I have no clue as to why. You know, he defeated a balrog too? He's pretty awesome.
As for free comic book day... I'm so sad, but I'm going to miss it up here! I'm actually going to be in Mississippi this weekend visiting my mom. I still haven't located a comic book shop down there. I was super excited this year when the new Thor comic book came out and Thor was a girl but I didn't actually read past the first comic. Didn't really like it (and Thor is one of my favorite heros!) I have been following the new Miss Marvel, however... I really like what they're doing with those (despite how much I loved Carol Danvers.) Did you know they've slotted Carol Danvers for a movie in the Marvel Universe? It's being realeased in 2018 but it's not Miss Marvel, it's Captain Marvel. Hmmm....
I have a child too! She's a little girl child. Actually today my fiance and I are both off so we made plans to go play soccer. Hopefully she doesn't steal the ball again, lol. I still haven't found my ACM ball, she hid it.
Do you follow any of the soccer leagues? It seems like a lot of the people on spark aren't really into it. I like watching Barcclay's on Saturday morning (when my daughter is begging for My Little Pony!).
I saw your comment about bleeding blue on MrsHawkins status so I thought I'd check out your page, being KYian myself. When I saw you obviously enjoy Dr. Who and the Highland Games (and mentioned Hobbit feet in your blog) I knew I had to friend you.
I had to laugh out loud when you suggested it might be because the weather is getting colder. Granted, it's about 25 degrees cooler than a couple months ago...but that means it's only down in the 80's. LOL No, I don't think it was the weather. Perhaps it was...but the opposite--too warm. Just crazy.
