"The first step to living the life you want is leaving the life you don't want.
Taking the first step forward is always the hardest.
But then each step forward gets easier and easier.
Each step forward gets you closer and closer until eventually, what had once been invisible starts to be visible.
And what had once felt impossible starts to feel possible."
-Karen Salmansohn

Just stopping by from the Healthy Holidays Challenge team to encourage you to take those steps forward towards your goals. Even baby steps will get you closer as long as you keep going. Never forget that you are always worth the effort! Have a great day!

I made myself a snowball,
As perfect as could be,
I thought I'd keep it as a pet,
And let it sleep with me.

I made it some pajamas,
And a pillow for its head,
Then last night it ran away,
But first - it wet the bed!

“You are not a mistake. You are not a problem to be solved. It's possible to treat yourself with outrageous kindness beginning today.
Compulsive eating is only the symptom; believing that you are not worth your own love is the problem.
Go for the love. You will never be sorry.”

"You are capable and worthy of being and doing anything.
You just need the discipline and determination to see it through.
It won't come instantly, and you may backslide from time to time, but don't let that deter you.
Never give up. Life is an ever-changing process, and nothing is final.
Therefore, each moment and every new day is a chance to begin anew."
-Barbara Cage

LIFE LESSONS FROM A SNOWMAN
(Unknown)

It's okay if you're a little bottom heavy.
Hold your ground, even when the heat is on.
Wearing white is always appropriate.
Winter is the best of the four seasons.
It takes a few extra rolls to make a good midsection.
There's nothing better than a foul weather friend.
The key to life is to be a jolly, happy soul.
It's not the size of the carrot, but the placement that counts.
We're all made up of mostly water.
You know you've made it when they write a song about you.
Accessorize! Accessorize! Accessorize!
Avoid yellow snow. Don't get too much sun.
It's embarrassing when you can't look down and see your feet.
It's fun to hang out in your front yard.
Always put your best foot forward.
There's no stopping you once you're on a roll.

"What is it that you would like to achieve?
What is it that you wish to change, improve upon, create, express or experience?
If you ever want it to happen, now is when you must do something about it.
If it is your desire to see it come about, it is your responsibility to make the necessary effort."
-Ralph Marston

Happy December from the Healthy Holidays Challenge team! Keep doing your best, one day at a time, to make progress towards your goals. The holiday season makes it tougher, but not impossible. We just have to be more determined than ever to keep going. And we are worth the effort!

Happy Wednesday! I hope you've been having a great week so far. I just wanted to wish you a very healthy Thanksgiving and to remind you to stay strong in the face of all temptation there is bound to be. Focus on your loved ones and everything you have to be thankful for, and not just the food. If you over indulge, just get back on track on Friday! Remember, its only a holiDAY, and not a holiWEEK. There are 34 days until New Years Day, so we still have plenty of time to make progress!
Hugs,
Pixie

"I know life can be discouraging at times, so I am giving you this.
I want you to read it every time you feel overwhelmed,
so that it may encourage you to move forward and look beyond your troubles.
If ever you feel like giving up, don't.
If you think you can't do something, try.
If you try and fail, then try again.
If you don't, you may always wonder why you gave up so easily.

Don't let life pass you by;
the only way to get ahead is to hold your head up high.
Try not to be discouraged when things get in your way;
just climb that mountain inch by inch, and take life day by day.

Eventually you will find the strength you need to look toward those heights,
not only to scale that mountain but to reach its mighty peak.
Believe in whatever you think is worth believing in,
and never stop until you feel you have done all that you can to secure your dreams.
I have such faith in you, and I know that you are capable of achieving anything you want.

Always remember that I have faith in you."
