Hi I am 40 and recently relocated to Milwaukee from Minneapolis. I am trying to loose about 40 pounds that I gained from a major sweet tooth and boredom eating coupled with lack of exercise.
I have lost 19 pounds so far. I am glad that Spring is finally just about here.

Happy Monday Jay, I took a page out of your playbook and hit the hay earlier than normal so I could get up and put in some more walk time. It worked last night, but man going to bed while it's still light outside feels strange. I have another friend who's a pastry chef at one of the big hotels in Las Vegas... his schedule is similar and he really likes it too.. so I thought it couldn't hurt to try. I did manage to hit my 120 minutes of activity super early... always nice to have that task completed. I'm going for 7 days of max points for the team... good so far, but rain is in the forecast... will see what happens. Lets' have a strong week... Cheers buddy!

Walking's not your thing … do something for 15 min (= 1 mile). Just move!

Happy Sunday Jay, thought about you and your visit with Dad yesterday... Hope you enjoyed yourself and had a good get-together. Eating out is a challenge for me but thankfully my ability to choose healthy options is getting better.
Anyway, just wanted to give you a pat on the back for all your hard work this past week, your numbers are looking good. I'm a little concerned that I may not make my goal this go-round. My plan is to up my activity and really punch up the diet with fruits and veggies. In fact when I finish posting this morning I'm headed into the kitchen to start this weeks food prep.

Mini-Challenge for you this week: "Hit Pause" emoticon emoticon

The next time you’re tempted to reach for that chocolate ice cream (or whatever you're craving), stop & “hit pause.” Consider your decision for about 10 minutes. The majority of us don’t hesitate long enough when it comes cravings.
