UPDATE: I'm back...I spent most of 2010 pregnant, and now after giving birth to my baby girl in September I feel I am ready to get back on the wagon again. My goal during my pregnancy was to only gain baby weight, and I reached that goal! I gained 28 lbs during my whole pregnancy and was back to that weight within 2 weeks after I gave birth. But, my pre-birth weight wasn't exactly fabulous, so now I have a little extra motivation when I look at my daughter. I want her to be proud of her mom, and to be able to look up to me as someone she should emulate. So, for the next few months I am going to get my eating/meals back on track, and try to fit in exercise when I can. I know it is going to be hard, working full time during the day and taking care of the little one at night, but I know I need to change and now is the time to do it!!

My Goals:
I think first and foremost for myself I want to feel good...Confidence is something that I have lacked for a long time and I want it back! Losing over a hundred pounds is a truly daunting task, but I am willing to take it on. I love the whole 40's/50's rockabilly / hot rod car scene - I want to look like a pinup model when I get through this!


My Program:
I am working out at home on my elliptical at least 4x per week, and incorporating strength training into 2 or 3 of those days (3 min ellip, 1 strength exercise, back to the ellip., etc). I LOVE the Sparkpeople generated workouts - mixing up my routine is so much fun!



Personal Information:
I live in Milwaukee, Wi with my fiancee and our sweet kitty! I work as a project manager for an electrical contractor which is a challenging and sometimes stressful field. I just turned 30 (goodbye, 20's) and I want to make the most of this decade. No regrets!


Other Information:
I love playing volleyball - I played competitively since middle school and would like to start that again once I get into better shape. Reading, video games, and movies are how I spend my free time. I want to be a mom sometime in the near future, and I know I need to lose weight to get there!

You and I were kind of racing to see who could get more fitness minutes in one month... don't remember what month that was, but then I didn't see you around anymore (I liked to tell myself that you were just intimidated by the fabulous numbers I was putting up! lol).

    Well congrats on baby! That's exciting for you! The ultrasound will be an awesome experience for you!

    BTW - I saw that you said you are switching to babyfit - I tried that too. It's not very active and so I came back here and joined a couple of preggo groups and made lots of preggo friends. That's my suggestion for you. It's so cool when your friends start having their babies and you can all encourage each other...

    Aw, Megyn! I miss talking to you! Thanks for the comment on my page. So, if you are serious about recommitting then think about these questions honestly for yourself. What was it that made you stray or slack? What are you WILLING TO DO to stay on track this time? ARE YOU WILLING to put your health first no matter what? That's the point I needed to come to.
