I'm a 36 year old happily married mother of 3. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse working in Long Term Care. I have been a member of SparkPeople for a long time now and I've tried to lose weight so many times, always failing. I'm really hoping this time will be different. I'm tired of being miserable. I'm to need to be in a lot better shape and have more energy when I start working.

My Goals:
*Lower my triglycerides and my blood pressure so that I need little or no medication.

*Have more energy.

*Lose weight until I feel comfortable in my skin.



My Program:
*Eating less junk food.

*Exercise as least 30 minutes, 5 days a week.

* Drink at least 8 cups of water a day.

Personal Information:
I am an emotional eater and that is one of my greatest challenges...learning to deal with stress, happiness, sadness, and anger in a manner that doesn't include eating.

Happy Thursday! The difference between ‘try’ and ‘triumph’ is just a little umph! I hope you are keeping your eyes set on your goal and working towards it. The groundwork of all happiness is health, When you’re healthy, you’re happy. When losing weight, improving your health should always be your first goal, because good health will see you through to the end. Weight loss through diet and exercise is tough, it does get hard, but when you exert every ounce of will power and self control, you will persevere.

Well it is the end of another week. Enjoy the weekend and relax a bit! I know that this time of year people have some spouts of seasonal depression, and it makes us want to eat things that make us happy, most of those foods are not healthy. Stay on track with your goal and know we are not alone in this, many struggle with depression eating. And with Holidays it is hard to turn away from all the good foods being prepared as tradition. But with will power and faith we can do it. Think small portions, And if you must have the sweet taste that is full of unhealthy calories, taste is the key word. Keep strong, keep on pressing to your goal! emoticon
