I AM ON A SERIOUS POST-PREGO WEIGHT-LOSS MISSION!!
Ok, that was my introduction when I first started with Sparkpeople but since then ( End of Aug. 2010 ) I have lost over 20 lbs putting me below pre - prego weight :)...Mission accomplished!!
I have always been active, but can't say I was always leading a healthy lifestyle! You could say I over-indulged in food and wine...I am pleased to say that I have changed all that with clean eating and only drinking occasionally.
These changes have had a great impact on my life, as I find that I have much more energy to focus on my passions in life - Motherhood, Pilates and Bodybuilding.

My Goals:
Sept. 2010 - - To lose the 15 lbs remaining from my pregnancy - Baby was born 4 months ago!! Would like to lose the weight before our trip to Mexico in Nov. 2010 - GOAL MET - New goal is to be at 125 lbs by the end of Jan. - I haven't been that size in 15 years!! Also decrease body fat % ( currently 25%) and get to my healthy waist-to-hip ratio, 0.80 ( currently 0.83 ). - Woo-hoo!! As of Feb 5th/11 weight was 123lb, 21.7% Body Fat GOAL COMPLETED!! - - UPDATE - As of May 5th/11 weight is 119.5 and Body Fat % is 20.9% -NEW GOAL JAN. 2012 To become a Certified Group Fitness Leader by March 2013. Started my courses Jan.14th 2012. - UPDATE- Certified Fitness Leader in Fitness Theory as of March 2012, Certified Group Fitness Leader as of April 2013 - GOAL COMPLETED!!! -Compete in my first fitness competition - GOAL MET!! NEW GOAL JULY 2012 Continue with my career transition into the fitness in
My Program:
My program consists of a diet with calories averaging 2200 daily, as well as exercise to burn 2500 calories weekly. Exercise consists of Jillian Michaels DVD's, running, weights, box jumps off an 18 inch platform, inverted rows, pushups, lunges. I teach Pilates, so on top of that I devote at least 4hrs a week to my own practice with Reformer and Mat work

My name is Melissa, I am a Pilates Instructor living in Canada. I am 5'5 and 123lbs and looking to get my body fat % down from 20%. My fat % with calipers as of Jan. 2012 was 26%, the goal is 18%! *Update* - As of Spring 2012 I am 121 lbs and 19% body fat :) Speaking of Spring, I gave birth to beautiful baby boy May 7th 2010 :) He is my # 1, but other interests are running, pilates, lifting, music, dancing, reading and fashion!!
