How many times have I said this before??? But here I am again and hoping THIS time is the last! I need to do it for me.....for better health. I'm at the age now where everything I do will be helpful and benefit me.....
UPDATE September 27, 2012 Joining the 5% challenge -- am a beautiful butterfly!! I am going to make a change in my life this time -- I have to!!

Updated August 17, 2012 My oh my the above words were my FIRST on SP way back in 2007 -- 5 years later and I've lost the weight (at least almost 40 lb. of it) and gained 22 of them back...will I ever learn??? Obviously not So some changes are underway for meme102 aka Lynn --- stay tuned!!!

How many times does one have to start over before they 'get it'???? Same words above now apply as they did back in 2010 as they did in 2007. And, here we are now in 2011 and I'm STILL saying them. Disappointed, disgusted, frustrated, hurt, angry, furious, are just some of the words that come to mind when I think of it. But what good is that? I'm here -- now -- and that's all that matters. I can remember in my 40s thinking - I've GOT to do something about this weight b/f I reach 50, then when I was in my 50s I said GOT go do something about this weight b/f I reach -- well you get the idea! Well, now I am in my 60s and still trying....I've said in blogs - I'm TIRED of this being an issue! So here's my challenge to MYSELF --- what are you going to do differently this time than all the other times???? Pause....pause......pause.....pause......p
ause.....pause.....the only answer that comes to mind?? STICK WITH IT!

The above words were written the very first time I joined SP. They are NOW being REPEATED because I've fallen away and am having to pull myself up by the bootstraps to get myself back on track...my first babystep was to sign in to SP more consistently - I've now done that for 8 days. I've just started tracking each meal consistently -- up til now it had been haphazard. I'm also going to re-do my goals to be tiny little babysteps that are for me only and that are doable ....or at least they'd better be. This background pictures represents me beginning this journey again --- from the start. I will weigh in tomorrow and will post that weight whatever it is.....this is for ME ----- AGAIN!

In my dreams I wear the red high heels. lol My total hip was 2 1/2years ago and it was the best thing I ever did . My ability to walk with out pain is something I am thankful for every day I wake up. Now to focus on getting off the extra pounds so my hip replacement lasts as long as I do. After not being active on Sparkpeople for a while I have a renewed focus and want to use every available thing possible to change my life style.

I try to buy lower sodium canned goods and lower sodium meats when I can. I also buy SALT SENSE, which is real salt but 33% less sodium. I tried buying Mrs. Dash but neither of us care for it.
Bob still wants all the processed meats though or canned soups and those are so high in sodium. He won't touch the low sodium soups. But he wants his smoked sausage, brats, ham, etc. So I try to find a lower sodium form of those whenever possible.

Thank you for the nice warm welcome to the team and for the goodie and for adding me too. I appreciate all the info. that is posted. I've gotten so much info. from the doctor too, which is nice, but it will always be so nice to go to the team and learn too. I'm looking forward to the hot tub with hearing different reviews too.
