I've been working on maintaining my weight for almost two years. I still struggle up and down with the same 5-6 pounds, so I have to be pretty mindful and watch myself.
I abstain from sugar. Being sugar-free isn't for everyone; but for me, it helps tame a food addiction. I also run.
I'm a teacher from Washington state. I'm the youngest of 5 kids and I was born and raised in the Seattle area.
This is a quote I really like (not sure who said it): "Things go much better when you see motivation as the ability to give yourself the chance to make conscious decisions and take responsibility for these choices. Therefore, the main "enemy" of motivation is the tendency to see yourself as the hapless victim of forces (or urges) over which you have no control."
Thank you so much for the complement. I was actually really lucky to not have any flabby skin on my arms, I did a lot of toning and strength training as I lost weight so that really helped. My thighs and stomach on the other hand are a different story. LOL.
