REMEMBER..."You are an empowered, competent individual who can cope with difficulties, make plans and solve problems."— Amit Sood, M.D.
My name is Mary and I am a young 64 years old. I have some health issues and need a double knee replacement, but first must lose weight so it is all easier to do and to recuperate. I am attractive and look younger than I am. I am married and want to play a more active role in activities than I can now as a disabled woman! I want to be more active and involved in life!
My goal is to lose 60 more pounds and be able to get successful double knee replacements.
I am keeping A food journal and sometimes a food tracker, cutting back on calories and fat, more fruits and veggies, drink water and increase fiber. And try to make healthy choices in any given situation!
My name is Mary. I live in Michigan. I have been married for going on 22 years! We do not have any children. But love animals/pets.
I love reading, music, crosswords and watching movies. I delight in nature (rain, flowers, trees, animals!).

Mary, thanks for the comment on my page with the heads-up about Susan's first post-surgery blog. I've read it and will go comment on it right after I touch base with you here. So sorry she has to go through this pain, but I'm sure it'll all be worth it. Can't wait until she's fully recovered, her son is doing well, and she's back to power walking!
And I just read your comment, smiling all the way through, on Bobbi's blog about the dinner-group blowup. This is a sad time in our history. Oh man, I wish things had turned out differently. Out of more than 300 million people, these two were the best we could do?! Anyway, I'm with you, and I absolutely can't wait for it to be over. On the other hand, you are woefully correct when you say that it won't really be over when it's "over." Sigh.
Anyway, let's try to divert our attention from that train wreck and have a great Sunday!

Thanks Mary for reading my blog. I agree, finding a snack that is healthy to save for that time of night is good too. I also do crossword puzzles.... I used to have Netflix through the mail. I understand it is different now, is it through your cable tv, carrier, that you order it? Was thinking of possibly getting it
on occasion if not too expensive....
Enjoy the weekend and thanks too for the suggestions.

Mar, Ain't it so wonderful how everything turned out???? I am so relieved, so happy knowing that Lucy Lou will be one spoiled doggie 24 hours a day. And I will be a huge part of that too. Now, I think I can really breathe of total content. Yeah, I am finally at total peace, for now.

Ryan is doing so well. He wants to go home now. His pain is so minimal. The transplant was a complete success and Ryan is now back to normal kidney values.
He will go home Monday to my uncles place close to the hospital and I will go home then as well.
This surgery is the one thing that has been ab;e to put me down and my recovery will be slow and steady.

Hi dear Mary...thanks so much for your astute comments on my latest blog. We certainly DO have a motley group of friends and actually couple to couple they can be quite lovely. It seems that when they get together and get this 'mob mentality' all common sense flys out the door. It's just too stressful to work hard all week (very few of these people do..most are quite wealthy and retired) and then have to listen to this fray.
DH has just decided he's had enough..and now that I consider his feelings I concur.
Life goes on...I told him this morning I'd much rather live in Spark World...the people have much more interesting things to talk about and are so encouraging and special!
Have a lovely evening my friend!
