I have been to the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center now for a few years and we have our dates set for this year, our church will be going on Dec 4th and working on the 5th. My daughter & I are so ready to go. I've entered the SP Unchained Recipe Contest with "The 3 C's-Crunchy Carolina Chicken Salad" and "Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Roll-up" recipes. Come over and rate them. I am one of the 10 Semifinalists in the Sparkpeople recipe contest, with the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Roll-up. Tonight in AWANA, we packed Samaritian Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. We had 41 kids to pack boxes tonight and we did 400 boxes. Our church is a collection center for our area and we begin collecting boxes on Monday. Then the first weekend of Dec we are sending some workers to the Processing Center to work. This will be my 4th or 5th year of going to the Processing Center. It is an exciting part of the hoildays for me. I may never get to go where the missionaries go, but I can do my part so others can do theirs. My most favorite saying of all: I will do what I can with what I have for Jesus sake Today. My Goals:
Trying to get back on track with my weight. Need to focus on drinking more H2O as well as eating whole grains and veggies. Do a 5K even if I have to do a virtual race to do it. ( I have completed a 5K, so far only have done virtual races, but one day I will do a real outdoors with other people.) To be able to: walk around without my inner thighs rubbing together, feel better about myself and be more confident. I'm logging a virtual web walk, it is on my blog.
My Program:
I'm trading bad habits for ones that will add years to my life. Gonna move it and loose it everyday, while I watch the numbers on the scale go down. Walking is my main fitness routine, once in awhile I change it, but not often. I always wear a pedometer so I have a visual check on step count for the day. I'm working on keeping a better food journal, one that is more accurate with the correct sized portions. I also enjoy our Wii, Wii Fit and Wii Outdoor Adventure and have added it to my exercise routine daily. Looking to get My Fitness Coach. Get involved in a virtual 5K every month.
