I teach High School Career Technologies and business, as well as sponsor the Yearbook. I also enjoy card-making, photography, music, and Dallas Stars Hockey. (When the NHL allows!)

I thought I had been heavy all of my life, but having made a scrapbook for my parents 50th anniversary, I realized I wasn't a fat kid, I just have a very poor self image. At the age of 52, I decided I like me, but now I want to start the road to recovery and fit into my better body image!

I have a grwon son and a hubby of 29 years in July, they are my best friends and have seen me through this turmoil, and still love me!

My BIG Goals are:
* Improve my emotional health!
* Remain healthy.

My little goals are:
1. Exercise More - Walk to the end of our block (about 1.5 miles) and back.

2. Eat more fruit and veggies

3. Pay attention to emotional eating.

4. Continue drinking 8+ cups of water a day

My Program:
Follow Sparkpeople, of course!

Continue weekly meal plans/shopping list, ADD Exercise, WATCH emotional Eating.

Personal Information:
I'm a mom, a teacher, a techie, a Stars fan.

Other Information:
I love technology, the web, and all that the future holds. I wish I had the ability to come up with the ideas, but I love that I am able to keep up or stay ahead. I just wish my friends had the same interest.

Other things I love are Hockey, music, scrapbooking & cardmaking. My family races stock cars on weekends too.

Yes! Best wishes on your new eating plan, cutting simple carbohydrates sounds sensible.

I have changed my nutrition tracker (sync fitness with daily calories) to see if that will change things for me.
