In Need of Change

I'm Michael, I'm 29 and...I am not quite where I thought I would be in life.

I have already lost roughly 80lbs since hitting my peak of 310+, but I'm like most people trying to lose weight and will do great for a week (or even a few days- haha) and fall of the wagon. On, off, on, off...

I'm hoping for some friendly support, guidance and praise (when I deserve it) through this continuing journey as I really don't have that in my personal life. It would be a fantastic ...

I'm hoping for some friendly support, guidance and praise (when I deserve it) through this continuing journey as I really don't have that in my personal life. It would be a fantastic gift to myself to reach my goals by the time I'm 30 (Feb 27).

*Update- I started out quite strong when I joined but an...ex-something crept back into my life at nearly the exact same time and took me on an emotional roller coaster for the last few months. I definitely lost focus. Eyes are back on the prize.

My Goals:
I want to attain a healthy, attractive body and enjoy the confidence that comes with it.

My Program:
Just staying in a large enough calorie deficit to lose 2-3lbs a week. I also try to eat 'clean' while dieting- avoiding simple white carbs, fried and processed junk.

I enjoy working out but I tend to overdo it sometimes and I'm not without prior injuries. So usually 2 days on, 1 off at the gym for strength training.

I have a dog so even if I don't workout I'm at least going for a daily walk.

I also enjoy cross-country style Mt. biking when the ground finally turns from mud to dirt.

Thanks for commenting back! I just got my foam roller today, used it once and I think it is really going to help :) Thanks for the ideas about sitting at work too- I do have an exercise ball I sit on at work occasionally and I do try to stand at my work station sometimes to change things up. Just have to remember to do this more frequently and make it a habit I guess.
I see you are part of the Spark Salem team- My Dad lives in Dallas just outside of Salem- it is beautiful there :) Probably great for your Mt. biking hobby!! Well thanks again for the tips and I am looking forward to more foam rolling.
