I am comitted to my goal

For more than a year now, I have been trying to loose weight. I have gotten off track again and again. Every time, I look for motivation and support, which I believe is the one thing I can't seem to include into my routine no matter what I do. I have joined sparkpeople before but I guess I never figured out how to use it to benifit me. So, here I am again and I really hope that I can get the support that I need.

My Goals:
ON 5/26/10: loose two pounds

ON 6/2/10: loose another two pounds.


LONG TERM GOAL: weigh in the 130's by january 2011

My Program:
For the first few weeks:

1. no eating after 8
2. drink enough water
3. no munching around

**Exercising whenever I can. I will include this in my goals later (slow n steady is the way to go)**

My husband has put us off to a start date of November 1st. He wants us to take a 1 week break since we just completed P90X. He just wants us to do walking and what not. Perhaps you should do Yoga, Pilates, and walking. Then perhaps come back to Insanity at a later date when your health is regulated.

I did the fit test last weekend. I did fine with it. I didn't count anything though. I don't feel like doing that either lol. I am just going to do my best and feel good. No comparisons by numbers.

No I don't follow anyone's diet. I eat my own way. I make healthier choices, drink lots of wate (I rarely drink anything except water or almond milk at breakfast), I have treats here and there but more than anything I utilize portion control. I also don't eat anymore once I feel the sensation of being full. I do also love green smoothies. You may be interested in them. Check out: www.greensmoothiechallenge.com I don't count calories but I am a label reader, so I watch out for those sugars by whatever name they try to call them. I check the percentage levels and also see if it's listed among the first 5 ingredients since that means there is more of it if it's in the first 5. Below is a list from another site which tells the other names for sugar:

P.S. I weigh in every Sunday Morning before breakfast. I didn't do it this morning because I planned to do that tomorrow morning since it's the start of a new program. Other than that it will be every Sunday for me. And I don't bother with measurements either. I don't like the feeling being obsessed or anything. I let my body do the job of telling me if I am doing well or not.
