My Journey to Fit & Healthy!

Hi, I'm a 66 year old grandmother of 5. I've struggled with my weight since I was 12-13 years old. I've basically been a yo-yo dieter. As I get older, I see that my activities with my grandchildren will be curtailed if I don't get myself into shape. I would also just like to feel better. I'm pretty sure I have IBS, which restricts eating certain things, so if there's anyone out there with some helpful ideas pertaining to this, I'm all ears:)

I've been told by the Dr. that I need to try an all gluten-free diet. To start with, leaving out all grains. Hmmm..........feeling overwhelmed.

Thanks for the email. Just remember to do what you are able to, consistency is the key, actually the foundation of all the SP principles. You can do this one step at a time.

Thanks for stopping by. My day is going pretty well. I will do the best I can with food tonight because I am going to a pot luck celebration of our newly engaged nephew and niece. We are having a big year with wedding this year. There are 2 this fall and 1 this winter.
Take it one day at a time. A slip is behind you and today is the first day of the rest of your life. One slip does not upset your journey. It is to be expected. You are making a big lifestyle change and it is hard. Enjoy your exercise! emoticon
