This Year I Learn to Love Myself.
May 26, 2013 I want 2013 to be the year I learn to love myself, care for myself, value myself and show myself that I'm worth it. I haven't done this for a very long time - maybe not ever. I have struggled with my weight my entire life starting on diets when I was 8. I've been on many diets, I've lost and gained weight a countless number of times and ways. May 26, 2013 I want 2013 to be the year I learn to love myself, care for myself, value myself and show myself that I'm worth it. I haven't done this for a very long time - maybe not ever. I have struggled with my weight my entire life starting on diets when I was 8. I've been on many diets, I've lost and gained weight a countless number of times and ways. My weight has defined me and it has kept me from being the person I want to be and doing the things I want to do. I can't continue to let it control my life and so I'm not going to let it anymore. I want to be strong, healthy, happy - someone that other people want to be around. I want to meet new people, get out of my comfort zone (which usually involves food!) and actually live life, not just watch it go by. My Goals:
While I don't want to be defined by a number, I do want to have things to strive towards: I will NOT get on a scale more than once per week. Start weight 333.4 - 2/25/13 Goals: - 320 - 3/27/13 - 310 - 4/24/13 - 299 (10%) - 6/6/13 - 289 - - 279 - - 266 (20%) - - 249 (goal for 2013) Ultimate goal - 179 Other goals: - to run a 5k by the end of the year - to be in a healthy weight range for my height (5'10") - to be a positive person - to not feel like the largest person in the room all the time - to shop in regular stores - to be able to do things like kayaking or fly on airplanes without concern of not fitting - to have my really expensive Fluevogs fit me properly! - to be someone that says 'well, I just got back from my run, but SURE I'll go for a walk with you.'
My Program:
Honestly tracking calories with the nutrition tracker every single day. Every single thing I eat. Trying as much as possible to stay within my calories, knowing that some days it might be impossible. Incorporating exercise. Cardio - 4x week - walking, workout videos and working a modified c25k program. Strength training using an exercise ball 2x week Kundalini yoga - 2x week. I also quit smoking August 2012 - so continuing to ensure that this sticks.
Personal Information:
I'm 36 yrs old, single, work full-time and live with a grumpy old cat on the west coast of Canada.

The more friends the better!
