Hi there! I've pretty much always been healthy and active until 10/11..and alot changed. I like to say that my life divorced me and I'm starting from scratch in every area. As a result of the sudden shock of unexpectedly starting over I began binge eating and gained 30# in less than 9mos.

I'm done. Time to get control of my life back. Time to get my life back! My profile pic is me at around 132#....lol....I felt fat then! Ah well....we either love our bodies or we don't. And if I ...

My Goals:
I will get back to my ideal wt of 119. But after i get into the 120's I'll be buying new clothes!

My Program:
My GF is my long distance wt loss buddy! She showed me SparkPeople about 3yrs ago and I thought it was a great idea but didn't 'need' it. I love being active and have missed it terribly. I am more focused on doing what I used to do (because I didn't have a weight issue).

Which means that I rarely feel the need for breakfast and I'm not cutting anything out completely...not desserts, not alcohol. I'm looking to get control of my life back not reach a set goal.

And I refuse to buy a car until this 30# is GONE!!! Walking is awesome!

Personal Information:
I've sort of had a dream in the back of my head since 1995....it may be time to pursue it...

And I am a huge tiny Habit fan! http://tinyhabits.com/

Other Information:
"It is not incumbent upon you to complete the work, but neither are you at liberty to desist from it." -- The Talmud

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Today's motivating quotation I found and valued is this:
When you've got something to prove, there's nothing greater than a challenge. -- Terry Bradshaw
Impossibilities are merely things which we have not yet learned. -- Charles W. Chesnutt

Today you have the choice to be amazing. Today you can do more than just try. You can succeed. You can be victorious. Today, you can rock your world. You can look yourself in the eye and smile... because you know that you are fighting for an amazing cause: YOU. And YOU are absolutely worth fighting for.

You can also do the same thing tomorrow.

"It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up." - Vince Lombardi

In honour of the upcoming Summer Olympic Games this Saturday in London, I give to you the Olympic Creed which is as true for the games as it is for achieving our own goals and dreams each and every day:

"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well."

Today, you are a superhero, a survivor, a warrior, and a beacon to others for honouring yourself, your mind and your body; for making the choices that will make you an even better person tomorrow.

Today you are one step closer, because you decided to be. Fight strong, fight well, fight fair.

"Never, never, never, never give up." - Winston Churchill
