Hello there! I'm happy to have found a supportive forum to enhance my journey in health improvement. Just found SparkPeople but am already pleased to be Interacting with thoughtful, wise and caring Spark members. I strive to embody those same attributes.

Hello there! I'm happy to have found a supportive forum to enhance my journey in health improvement. Just found SparkPeople but am already pleased to be Interacting with thoughtful, wise and caring Spark members. I strive to embody those same attributes.

My hope is to create a mutually supportive relationship with the community. At the same time, I'm not the type to hold back a concerned or opposing opinion.

Eating habits: I don't count calories. Instead I read food labels to find out nutrient and sodium content, for the sake of my overall health.

My approach to healthy eating is somewhat similar to the "Geneen Roth" approach, whereby I rely on my own innate hunger and satiation cues to let me know what to eat and how much (not a daily calorie quotient). After years of dieting and various eating disorders, intuitive eating is what works for me.

I wish you good health and peace of mind!

I kick-started a new exercise regimen a few months ago. It includes circuit training w/light weights, light yoga, an elliptical and a treadmill. .... Five to six days a week, between forty-five and sixty-five minutes.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the Meditation and MIndfulness team. I'm excited to jump in and get to know everyone. I will definitely take a look at your blogs. Overeating and binges are issues I've been struggling with recently and your posts contain quite a bit of information.
