I am a 26 year old Central Texan that has PCOS and insulin resistance (IR). For years I have struggled with depression, anxiety, weight issues, acne, and excess hair growth. Now that I have a diagnosis of PCOS I am finally learning what I need to do to succeed. I am on Metiformin, birth control, plus various vitamins and minerals. I follow a low carb/keto diet and am starting to finally get out of my plateau!

MISHAMW Went to bed at 9pm last night; can't breathe at the moment, and wishing I could get pulled pork and ribs delivered to my house. I need a break.

My Goals:
Short Term Goals

Goal 1: To continue to workout out 4-5 times a week focusing on HIIT (mixture of ST and Cardio).

Goal 2: To continue to eat low carb and stay in ketosis.

Goal 3: To limit my "sugar substitutes" on my keto diet.

Long Term Goals

Goal 1: To be happy with the way I look.

Goal 2: To overcome my agoraphobia

Goal 3: To get a job and over come my agoraphobia/social anxiety issues.

My Program:
Exercise - Mostly HIIT (like BodyRock, DailyHIIT, and Jillian Michaels) with cardio (Zumba) on 4-5 days of the week.

Food - Eat low carb, high fat/keto diet.

Other - Take medications, and keep up a good skin care routine. Floss as well.

My highest weight was around 173-175, but I started with this journey around 168-170. I have currently lost 20+ pounds.

Thank you for commenting on my blog. I completely agree there are such a lack of arm videos. And with Extreme I felt exactly as you said, I couldn't get a few seconds to switch weights. Boo

Thank you for all your helpful comments on keto. I've been reading everything carefully and doing my best to adjust. I went over the calculators again today and I'm going to do a better job of tracking to see where exactly my protein is. I can tell you that my carbs were always on target, but I wasn't tracking protein before!

I bought some coconut oil today, and I'm looking into more ways to get more good fats into my diet. Hopefully this next week will be better than the previous three. I read on some magical website that I can slather everything in alfredo sauce, and that's pretty exciting. I'll try cooking up some chicken and drenching it in it later this week.

Here's what today looked like:

1722 cal (under maintenance, but over target of 1372 -..- )

Fat: 142
Carbs 26
Protein 78

This is about a typical day for me this week. In the previous two weeks, I was definitely eating a lot more.. quantity wise. I didn't start logging stuff until today, after I read your comment about not getting enough fats. I know you've mentioned the protein thing before, but I was lazy and didn't bother writing anything down until today.

Based on the numbers you gave me, the protein is a little higher than range. If I can find a way to somehow lower the protein by 10g and lower the fat a little bit, it may bring my daily calories down where they need to be.

God, I hate math.

Icewines are something special: they originated in Canada, though you can get them in some of the Nordik countries too now. They're super-sweet (if a late harvest reisling comes in from an 8-10 on the sweetness scale, and sauterns about a 9-11, icewines can go from an 11-14) and created by harvesting the grapes after they've frozen, but before they thaw again and rot. Not cheap, but something extraordinary.

Ushicon is Feb 7-9. All the details like location& badge price and all of that is over at ushicon.com

For the bigger cons, I'd say it's easy for people to come and check it out without buying a badge. Ushi is small. This is partly because it is 21&up only, because they don't like the teens running around without supervision, getting drunk& trashing the hotel. It also means that everyone walks by the registration table& you can't sneak in :x. At the bigger cons, you can just walk into the common area and get away with seeing all the costumes without badge chck. Lol

I've seen sprouts around, and I know you guys have whole foods down there too! I'm jealous of all the variety& selection. I love my HEB, but we don't have a central market either. Our bigger HEBs carry some of the central market stuff, though, so it's not too bad

I ended up finding both coconut flour and xanthan gum at drug emporium! Yay!

I know that these sorts of things can cause anxiety, but that convention I'm going to in Feb is in Round Rock. (Ushicon). If you decide you want to come check it out, let me know! I'm pretty much guaranteed to be wearing somthing weird and exciting :D.
