"Fall down 7 times, stand up 8" ~ Asian Proverb

December 2013: I think Einstein was the one that said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. So the things I am doing DIFFERENT this time around:

- When I fail, I don't throw the baby out with the bathwater and give up. I'm never more than one meal away from getting back on program.
- I am being kind to myself - being my own worst critic is not helpful.
- I am being conscientious and consistent ...

Two steps forward and one step back is still progress. Why is it that it is easier to support , empathize and be compassionate with others, yet we can be so hard on ourselves? You will reach your goals, and we'll all celebrate with you! Have a great day!

On your turmeric question. I take Doctors Best C3 complex. 8,000-12,000 mg. I also drink fresh juice of it when I can get toe roots. I know the bitter melon juice is working at helping me to loose weight. Ever since I started juicing it I drop a bit ever day. Pills don't work as well as the fresh on the bitter melon. I read the Dr. C3 pills were effective on Margaret's corner, a cancer survivors blog. They actually tested the cucumerin levels on patients. That's why I am going with that brand. I do like the life extension cucumerin brand also. I haven't seen blood work which reflects the absorption in the body for that brand. In the beginning I had a hard time absorbing the Dr.s best brand as evidenced by bits of the pills passing. But over time with the help of the fresh root and the bitter melon my stomach is healing and absorbing all of it.

Hi! I'm glad things are going better for you and that you are back on track! You can do it! I'm back on track too! I started using the Sparkpeople app on my phone for tracking food, exercise and water. It seems to be working so far. Keep up the good work! emoticon
