Heading for a change!

This is the time for change! Once again, my life is showing signs of needing a revamp when it comes to food and fitness! What better time to begin than the upcoming 5% challenge! Yep, me and the Daisies, we're gonna make some positive "moves" in our lives the next eight weeks! I am so looking forward to it! My main change is in fitness! More strength training! There are too many parts of my body that need toning! And that 197 isn't far afield either! Let's hit it!

Thank you for taking time to read my blog and for leaving the very sweet, encouraging message! Yes, I for one have to have God's help: I cannot do it alone. I sincerely believe that God wants us to take care of the bodies He has made for us. That's just part of showing our appreciation to Him; being able to serve Him better; and being a better example of self-discipline, a part of the fruit of His Holy Spirit. It has taken me a long time to truly realize the TRUTH of what I just wrote, but at last have come to understand. It took me 75 years to learn it is not only OK to love my body, but is a sin to hate it!

As you said in one of your blogs, it's wonderful that we can keep on learning!

TY sweet Lori for the loving tribute. Hon, we are made up of the experiences we've been through. When things r rough, we have a choice, we can take pity on ourselves and cry, I have a few friends who do this daily, I doubt it'll ever change. Or u can say "This will NOT defeat me!! I will learn from this and not repeat it!!". Out of us 8 kids, 5 of us have chosen the latter.
In life I strongly believe you CAN make ur own roadway once you realize what's happening.

I have a very strong faith, this aids me also caring deeply about others. I used to be very selfish.

TY Lori for the kind words. Hugs

Well this summer is not usual. My James has terminal liver cancer and the last few days has gone downhill more. He needs a shunt put in yet so he can stay home and not take 6 or 7 hours days out once a week to far away hospital for draining fluid in abdomen. When they do that, I will sign up for hospice as he wants to die at home. Tough times for us but I have to deal with this. Have some good friends here and family a bit of a problem but in the scheme of things it doesn't matter. So I am losing weight as who wants to eat much at this time? Still getting my vitamins. James can't eat and doesn't want Boost now. Some nasty things are happening inside him now.

As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, a single thought
will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk
again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over
the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives. -Henry David Thoreau
