I Gotta Be Me

Lately I have been feeling the message that I don't need to fix me, just let the real me emerge. No, the girl in the red bikini is not me. I am now 64 years old. Yet, when I imagined my dream vision of what I'd like to look like, a trim, tan figure in a red bikini came to mind. When I googled "red bikini," this image came up....very close to my dream vision (except I'd have a little bigger muscles!). Since the vision came from somewhere, I'm stickin' to in for now.

Right now, I am working on my goals....
I plan to update my page gradually as I let myself emerge.

To date, I have lost 15 pounds on Spark and decreased my waist by 4 inches, getting rid of most of belly fat. My other measurements have not changed noticeably. It took me 1 1/2 years to do it. When I started, I was only just a pound into being considered "overweight" by the BMI charts. I am now in the middle of "normal" for the BMI charts. But, as we know, the BMI chart do not tell the whole story.

Now I want to work on health, body composition and endurance. I also want to continue to live a full & wonderful life and to "Live the life I'm meant to live."

line dancing, dance DVD's, practice dancing, walking

Stretch daily in the evening

Lift weights 2X week

Increase endurance by sustaining activity
like cleaning, yardwork, shopping, projects, part-time job for periods of increasing length.
