I have come to realize that until you find a big enough reason 'why' to engage in a healthy lifestyle change - it most likely will not happen.

I just learned from my primary care physician that I have a wheat allergy and through research I learned about Dr. Davis and his book 'Wheat Belly' - I have just started utilizing some of the principles in the book and am feeling much better but better yet, I have less cravings for snack foods and simple carbs! I really feel as though I can stick to a healthy diet plan since reducing my wheat intake and therefore reducing my cravings.

I look forward to tracking my progress and connecting with people who are committed to a healthier lifestyle.

My Goals:
Want to get into normal BMI range. My weight when I was younger was 168 and was one that I felt most comfortable at around 20 years of age.

My Program:
Focus more on getting enough sleep and eating nutritious foods.
Doing low carb diet with emphasis on eliminating wheat after discovering I have a wheat allergy.

Resistance training on my Total Gym and cardio (mostly step aerobics) on the Wii Fit+. I try to get in at least 30 minutes of cardio every day and 3-4 days a week on the Total Gym.

Personal Information:
I'm from Michigan. I have lived in various parts of the country. I have been married for almost 15 years and have a beautiful 6 year old daughter - Hannah. We live in central Michigan with our two cats.

Other Information:
I love to play golf and I love watching NCAA Men's Basketball. I'm a Michigan State fan but my heart still belongs to the Louisville Cardinals (where I spent some of my childhood) - they are the reigning National Champions :)
