2010 Reboot
Hey my name is Jaime and I am doing a 2010 reboot here on SparkPeople. I joined in Jan of 2009 and had a very good health year - ran two 1/2 marathons and a full marathon even. But when school started again in September my exercise went down (sometimes to non-existant) and my food consumption stayed the same as during marathon training and perhaps increased! So now that I am on winter break from school I am going to take the time to be healthy and make a plan for when school ...
Hey my name is Jaime and I am doing a 2010 reboot here on SparkPeople. I joined in Jan of 2009 and had a very good health year - ran two 1/2 marathons and a full marathon even. But when school started again in September my exercise went down (sometimes to non-existant) and my food consumption stayed the same as during marathon training and perhaps increased! So now that I am on winter break from school I am going to take the time to be healthy and make a plan for when school starts again in January so that I can continue to be healthy. I am also running a 1/2 marathon in Fargo in May again so it will be time to start training for that as well. A little about me. I am 33 year old married mother of two back in school at the University of Minnesota and have 1.5 years left to get my BSN degree and become an RN. I also have BS in Management Information Systems and worked at IBM for 7 years before quitting for a career change after having my 2nd child. My kids are 2.5 and 5 and are big motivators as they have so much energy! My husband, Brian, and I have been married for 8 years and on top of being an engineer and a father he has also run 8 marathons! He is also a great motivator because even though he is one of those people who can eat whatever they want he tries to eat healthy and is a natural athlete. I have run six half marathons and one full marathon. Weight Loss Goal: Attain a BMI of 22 by April 10, 2009 According to my nutrition text book, women believe that they look their best at a BMI of 22. For me that is ~135 lb. At the present moment I weigh 148 lb so we’re looking at 13 lb to lose.
