My World

I have two kids and have been married for almost 14 years. I have weight to lose and lack of motivation has been a big factor in my lack of success. I'm both eager and nervous about starting this program. I am prior military and would love to get back to my military shape. I enjoy listening to music and playing video games, though most of my time is taken homeschooling my kids. I have an Australian Shepherd named Tiki, who is very spoiled! My Goals:
My SMART goals:

1. Lose one pound per week
2. Continue to eat healthy (both healthy foods and healthy portions of those foods)
3. Be creative with my healthy cooking and use my Sparkpeople Cookbook for inspiration
4. Set a daily schedule with everything from the time I wake up, to school with the kids, exercising, meal times, and going to bed. I'll also schedule a fun time for myself to do what I want, whether that be taking a relaxing bath, reading a good book, or playing a video game. I will set a timer on my phone for all of these activities to help me remember to do them.
5. I will be accountable for my actions in a positive rather than negative fashion. I will find a lesson to learn rather than be hard on myself.
6. I will read more articles on Sparkpeople.com as a motivator to stay on course and to learn more about healthy living, healthy thinking, and healthy eating.


My Program:
My Program
1. Eat 1200-1500 calories everyday

2. Log in to Sparkcoach everyday

3. Weigh in every Sunday
4. Re-measure my body on the 1st of every month

5. Walk around the block (at least ten minutes total) every day


Personal Information:
I live in Hawaii but I'm originally from Ohio. I have two kids (ages 10 and 12) and have been married to my amazing husband for almost 14 years.

Other Information:
My interests are RPG and some shooter video games, alternative and rock music, and reading post- apocalyptic America novels. I also love animals and have two cats, two dogs, an African Grey parrot, and a 70 gallon fish tank

I sooo wish I could!! We aren't allowed to have pets and I am allergic to cats!! I would love to be able to volunteer and meet new people. Are the dogs separate from the cats? I know that sounds bad, but I am just highly allergic! :/

I just wanted to say hi and tell you that even though I've been away from SP for the past several months (bogged down with work and stress) I am looking forward to ending the mighty-year-of-challenges that has plagued me this past year and start fresh soon... I may be still a bit scarce around here for the next little while but I did want to let you know that I've been thinking of you and hope you are doing well in life, in happiness, and in your journey.
