Hi! I'm a 56 year old Mom of one teenage son. I began Sparks at the age of 48 (as my page name shows) for the support and upbeat encouragement that I needed to get my life back to where it needed to be again for a few reasons. And, I'm so happy to say, "I'm Me Again"!!!

I'm here for my son! He's my pride and joy and I love him with all my heart! We, as a family, have gone through a lot during my son's teen years--the good times and in situations where I never imagined I would be and, more so, in situations I never thought my son felt he had to be in! We've gone through a year or two of counseling, court appearances and other things that I would never wish on any parent! Our children hurt - we hurt! And, I would never wish any of these experiences or hurt upon another parent or their child. But, as a Mom, I'll do whatever it takes to continue to make my son love life, smile and see that sparkle in his eyes and know that the smile is on the "inside" and "outside." And, the best part is, we're doing it!

He has changed in so many ways -- and it's fantastic! We still have bumps in the road -- don't get me wrong -- but we can handle those bumps and we handle them with love! Love is a super powerful emotion and one that will get you through all!

So, I'm here to continue to be positive, healthy and the best person I can be for my son! He needs his Mom and I'm going to be here for him! He's my total motivation!!!

And, yet another update, I've started a team called "Stressed Out Women Gettin' Healthy". I love sharing my support and friendship and encouragement with everyone. If I feel I can help someone else -- I'm there -- as I would love to see all of us get "happy and healthy" again! So check it out and join! The more the merrier!!! And this Team really is doing great on their weight losses and I have been seeing the improvement as to their motivational feeling of doing it! And they are!!! I love them all! And, I'm so proud of each and every one of my friends!

So, all in all, turn your negatives around everyone! You have the power! I did when I joined Sparks and when I began a Team on my own--something I never thought I was able to do! But I did it and the Team is wonderful and growing every day! Determination for health and happiness -- and for those that you love and care for-- it's so worth it and something you will never regret!

My Goals:
I would like to lose about 15 pounds so I get back to the weight where I felt the best. I also want to bring my sense of humor and personality "out" again -- I've missed feeling like me!

Trying to control the emotional eating that I'm guilty of due to the stresses and worries of a not so positive home environment.

    Although most of us had thanksgiving to contend with, feel proud that you kept up your exercise and you are in the top five for team fitness minutes this week.
