Mommaplank- slow and steady wins the race (I hope!)

My name is Lisa, and I joined Sparkpeople in late June 2007 after I returned from a holiday. I got home and uploaded my pictures and was horrified by how fat I looked. I am a working Mom, and an RN. I know that I need to be healthier than I am. I changed jobs a couple of years ago, and have been slowly and steadily gaining weight since. My name is Lisa, and I joined Sparkpeople in late June 2007 after I returned from a holiday. I got home and uploaded my pictures and was horrified by how fat I looked. I am a working Mom, and an RN. I know that I need to be healthier than I am. I changed jobs a couple of years ago, and have been slowly and steadily gaining weight since. I am hoping to make some positive changes to help me loose weight, be healthier, and feel better. I also want to be a positive role model for my kids.
My overall goal weight is 170lbs, but I have broken it up into smaller goals. My first goal is to get down to 195 by the end of August. I have dieted in the past, and gotten down to 201/202 but have not had any sucess in breaking the 200lbs mark. I am hoping that I will find inspiration and encouragment here! Thanks!
