One Day at a Time

Summer time is here !

Started my journey in 2010. Was up to my highest of 240 lbs. I'm a single mom and decided that I needed to lose the weight for me and for my children so that I can be a healthy energetic mommy to them.
Sept. 2011 - I am down to between 170-175 lbs. My goal ("first" goal) is 150 lbs....will decide when I reach that if I want to try to go lower. I am 5 ft 2 in. Want to be at a weight that is healthy and that I can comfortably maintain. ...

July 2012 - Am resetting my goals. Going to make min goals. My mini goal at this point is to lose 1.5 a week to reach 155 lbs by 12-01-12.
January 2013- 183 lbs on the 4th. Haven't made much of any progress that past couple years. Gotta change that this year.
Sept. 24, 2013 - Am now 159 lbs. It has been a long journey but I have not given up. Slow and steady is ok. 9 more lbs until I hit my original goal , but may want to lose another 10-20 lbs after that.
April 2014- Still right around 155-158 lbs. My body is clinging to these last lbs.

Hey Alicia (I have the name correct si?) I'm trying to work off my memory with everyone's name now! (Beverly & Wendy confused me for a few days but I have it down now.)

I am adjusting to the Den and have a checklist for every day so I don't forget anything! Thanks for the reminder of the Weigh In & TNT. My regular ST days are Tues/TH/Sat so it will be tracked tomorrow. I did the weight track on my overnight so I am all good for now. I am good, just came in from a walk a bit ago and about to hit the shower since I finished my exercise after the walk!

Great to see you! I love Jessica Smith and just discovered her in the last round. Gina turned me on to her and I can't get enough. This is going to be a great round for us.

Thinking of you Hopeful Heart Teammate and wishing you the best in all that comes your way this year. Some will be good and some may stressful. When stress does come your way I want to share something that may help for it has me.I have been studying much this week over and over from Psalms 46:1-8 how deeply God cares for the deep needs that we have. Sometimes unforeseen circumstances, troubles and trials bring us discouragement and despair. The Psalmist identifies these to the upheavals in nature in verses 2-3, but He shows us his fearless trust in 2a and the reason why he has such trust in verse 1. God is our refuge, our strength, and our present help in time of trouble. He is the one we can run to 24/7. He cares and has the power to help, strengthen us in all our trials, trouble, distractions, and makes it where we can lean on him and relax as he is in control.
Hugs,
Lois
