Moms are the best!

I am a single mom to a lively,happy 9 year old daughter. I have two beautiful birds and I am looking to get off the last of the weight I gained when I was pregnant with my daughter. Life is full of enjoyment and challenges. I want to have the energy,strength to deal with all of that every day.

My Goals:
I will be doing a minimum of 60 minutes of cardio 5 times a week and strength training for 3 times a week. I have joined the 2014 Summer 5%Challenge. I have set a goal to lose 7 pounds on this challenge. I am following the sparkpeople eating plan. i plan to reply to fellow team members blogs and to leave comments on their spark pages, to encourage them along and to just say hi.

My Program:
I want to be in the best shape of my life and I will,along with the sparkpeople eating plan and support of fellow sparkers, will achieve that goal. I will be trying new fruits and vegetables this month. I want to be stronger than I have ever been before. I no longer want to be the mom on the sidelines watching my daughter play. I want to be the mom who is out there playing right along with her. No more getting out of breath just going up some stairs. Since I started Sparkpeople, that happens much less often now. I am not too far from my goal weight. I know I will get there at my own pace.

Other Information:
I enjoy going to the movies, reading a variety of books, listening to music. I also watch lots of sports, do volunteer work and spend lots of time with my daughter.
