my life....my journey

Hi I'm Michelle,29 years old and joined spark people in January 2011, at the time my heighest weight was 297,and I felt like crap all the time. I blamed it on working night shift, but after a holiday retreat in the mountains where I got so out of breath hiking I figured it was time to make a change not only for myself but for my children too. It has been a hard journey but so absolutely worth it. Currently I have lost 122 pounds and my oldest daughter has lost 65 pounds.

****UPDATE**** Im now 30! And down 135 pounds, trying to get these last 15 pounds off to be pre-pregnancy weight, something I never dreamed possible! I started INSANITY 2 weeks ago and it is going great! My daughter has maintained her weight loss of 65 pounds and the changes in her are amazing, she has much more self -esteem and confidence! We can even share some clothes :0 To anyone thinking it;s too hard or impossible remember our story and know with determination and hard work the sky is the limit!

Are you still sparking? I'm an RN Mom of 3 kids. We are all working together to make some life changes. 3 of us are doing Insanity and are in our last 2 & 3 weeks (they started a week before me). My oldest is up in Flagstaff and is working out daily. Best wishes for continued health and happiness.

I read what you said on an article about making time for exercise today, where you had said that you treat it like a job and always make time. That is very inspiring. It occurs to me that things would be less confusing and challenging if I just stopped with the excuses and kept my commitment to myself to keep "exercise appointments".
Thanks for that.
