A Healthier Me!
March 26, 2013 - I'm tired of beating myself up for gaining some of my weight back. So I pledge to take each day as it comes and do the very best I can. Dec 30, 2012 - after months of being extremely busy and slacking off on exercise and counting calories, I have put on weight again. I've been too scared to weigh myself for quite awhile because even my 'big' clothes are too tight on me. I've left the comments posted below from when I first began SP. I plan to read them once in awhile and try to remember the way I felt when I first began my weight loss and exercise journey. March 12, 2011 - 150 lbs. The bmi chart now lists me as overweight instead of obese. Took me a month to lose a pound but I finally busted through the plateau. Making progress! Feb 18, 2011 - my page title used to be 'Slowly but Surely'. I changed it today to 'A Healthier Me'. In the few short months since I joined SparkPeople, I definitely feel healthier. The difference is amazing and I love it, love it, love it! For me, I knew it was best not to 'jump in with gusto' because I burn out too quickly. I've taken this journey at a slow pace so that I will continue to eat right, exercise, and not quit after a few weeks. So far it's working. Dec 5, 2010 - Slowly but surely I'm losing some weight. I started at size 16 and now I'm size 14 and still going. I love SP and can't hardly wait to check in each morning and see what my buddies are doing. Oct 16, 2010 - 169 lbs. The bmi chart lists me as obese. I turned 58 this year and realized - I have gone from a size 8/10 to a size 16 in the past 10 years. I'm a short person (5'3") and extra weight REALLY shows on me. I found SparkPeople while looking for a free weight loss program. I was really impressed with the support system and many helpful tools. It is harder for me to lose weight now that I'm older, but I'm determined and I know I can do it. Since joining this site, I feel SO much better already!
