I am a 41 yr. old single parent of 3 wonderful boys, a newly open lesbian with my first grandchild on the way. My oldest Joseph is 20, the middle Joshua is 17 and my youngest Gabriel is 4 1/2. I had planned to have lapband surgery but do to changes in my insurance it was no longer and option even though I had put alot of time and effort into getting ready. Even though I had been doing well with sparkpeople I became very depressed and gave up all my weight loss efforts. I gained back all my lost weight plus some. I have gradually lost the weight that I gained and with the wedding of my oldest child next year I would like to be able to fit into a dress size that you can find in most catalogs. Right now even with the weight I have taken off so far I still need larger then a 6x to accommodate my hips, butt and thighs.. I don't expect to be thin by the wedding, I would just like to fit comfortably in a 2 or 3x. My short term goal is to be under 287 lbs by April 2014, then from that to 250 lbs. by the wedding Nov. 16, 2014. My long term goal is to go from my current weight of 334.8 lbs to 135lbs in the next few years and then start maintaining my weight. I never want to feel this badly about myself again or feel that my children are ashamed of me because I am obese.

These are some of the tools I plan to get back into using to make my goals a reality. My Wii and the fitness games I have, like Exerbeat and Walk It Out. As well as using the WIO to help me accomplish my first 5k.. Once I am under 300 lbs I have the ab circle that I can start using.
I am here for the friendship and support as well as the accountablity of the challenges and trackers.
My montra for Life:

are to start and maintain a workout routine and start making better food choices for meals and snacks.
Exercise to stimulate, not to annihilate. The world wasn't formed in a day, and neither were we. Set small goals and build upon them.
I am watching the amount of the things that I eat daily.
I am doing a 2 mile Walk Away the Pounds video in the AM and a 1 mile WATP in the PM
3x a week I am going to use my WATP 10 min toning video with 2 lb weights
and I will also be using my trackers daily
I am a Tauris, as my birthday is in May 9th. I am on Facebook so if you would like to be friends there to look for tammy padia. I shouldnt be to hard to find.
My favorate books and movies are Harry Potter, Twilight, and Star Trak.
