Shelli Gets Sparked!!

I'm a SparkZealot. For real. SparkPeople is making such a positive impact on my life, I can't help but be a little fanatic.
Life moves too quickly to spend it hiding in the shadows. This isn't Junior High. Don't waste time worrying about how you look or what other people think about you. Get out there and LIVE! You're gonna make the world a better place, just by being YOU!
(Of course, that may mean picking up a hula hoop...)

SPARK ON, BRAVE SPARKERS!!!

Have FUN exercising.
Eat more freggies.
Keep Streaking!
Keep trying and learning new things.
Spread the Spark!

My Program:
Track food and fitness with Spark apps.
Follow SparkSolution food guidelines.
Cardio & Strength Training (Elliptical, weights)
Fun exercise: Hula Hoop, Poi FireEating (not really), Bike, Wii, whatever...

Personal Information:
I'm Shelli. I'm 46, married to my best buddy, with a teenage Manboy and daughter. We live close to Cincinnati and share a house with those incorrigible guinea pigs, Chubbs and Pudding.
I'm a hooper and a total MacGeek.

Other Information:
Not so very long ago, I lost 51 pounds by following another program. I felt amazing. I had so much energy and I felt like myself again. I was ready to maintain, but the program said I still needed to lose 35 more pounds. That seemed impossible to me. Discouraged, I quit, and put all the weight back on.
My dad gently pointed me towards SP, because he's a member. I joined in Nov., 2010, but didn't really start working the program until March 2011. I'm loving it! I can feel the real me coming out again. I like that chick, I've missed her!

I feel like I've found a place, where I can set realistic goals, be encouraged, and achieve success.

Hello SP friend, it is has been a while since I have visited your page but I wanted to say hello and see how things are going. Weight is still coming off and Im slowly working my way to 200. I cannot wait to lose 20 lbs because I have not seen the scale at 200 since I was in college. I hope that things are going well on your end and also, remember to stay cool and hydrated during the summer months. Im in Texas and it has been so hot here!

Stay positive!!! I hope to hear from you soon

Based on a 3x3 in. post-it note size, if you were to put your post-its in a straight line, it should 200 feet which is the diameter of the half-dome at Union Terminal. (Never been there, but I was looking for size comparisons, and I stumbled upon that one).

It would also be taller than the National Archives Building in Washington, DC and less than 90 feet shorter than the Capitol Building.

Day 1 comparison side by side Fitbit ultra vs Fitbit Flex. pretty much dead even! on my 3.5 mile walk tonight. the flex recorded 186 out of 5300 less steps than the Ultra. To me that is negligible. Tomorrow I will do an all day comparison. emoticon

Shelli!
Thank you very much for the hoop goodie too! All you have to do is show up to make me smile though! You are such a ray of sunshine!

Audrey has much to be proud of -- herself and her hard work, her hooping ability and of course her wonderful Mom! Sure wish I lived close enough to you to get a few tips and join you! (I have contacted a local teacher and am waiting to hear of her upcoming beginner class.

Rock on and keep smiling! emoticon emoticon emoticon
