Getting Healthier... or at least changing my lifestyle!
I'm a 27 year old dentist trying to lose between 30-45 pounds to get in a healthy weight range. I tried to get down before a recent trip overseas, but it didn't work... I still gave into fast food and lack of exercise. Now that grad school is over with and I have a steady 8-5 job, I 'should' be able to exercise more often. However, I have been continually eating whenever I am bored. Hopefully by this summer I should be able to get into a groove so I can be in better shape this fall!

My Goals:
After a summer of working hard, it was successful for the first half! I lost 31.5 pounds! However, I am afraid to get back on the scale because school has gotten much more stressful and I have not dedicated myself to appropriate exercise! :( My new goal is to time manage better and force myself to be active and cut back on food/alcohol intake.
My Program:
I cut my food portions in half, so I can still eat what I want but intake less calories/fat/carbs etc. I started biking to school daily (3.5 miles each way) and also a 8 mile bike ride in the evening. If i'm a little sore from biking the 15 miles, I'll do strength training for my upper body. Like what I did in the early summer, I am once again giving up drinking socially for the next two months. I lost more weight and saved more money.
Personal Information:
I'm a life long Ann Arborite! I'm in my fourth year of dental school so the stress of boards and finishing requirements causes me to be distracted from staying healthy!
Other Information:
I don't want to end up an overweight twenty-something who ends up being an overweight thirty-something and then a forty-something.
