So often I fail or fall when it comes to dieting. I have to remember that it is just one step at a time. One decision at a time; do I eat that fattening thing that seems to call my name? Or, do I choose; make the conscious effort, to not eat, or to eat something better?
One step at a time, this CAN be done!
Make every day count--for me that means doing SOMETHING towards weight loss every day.
Tracking my foods, stretching, exercising, going for a walk, just do SOMETHING towards making TODAY count in the battle of weight loss.
1) to have more energy/stamina
2) to be able to do things like climb stairs without the asthma making me wheeze
3) to have more flexibility
Long Term--however long it takes:
To lose 100lbs
Exercise in some form every day.
Make healthier choices foodwise.
Record my food choices in Spark every day.
I was born in Saratoga, CA and moved to TX in 2003. I miss the ocean, small towns, and places to go walking.

I receive much wise counsel through the Holy Bible. Scripture is full of wisdom for all, whether they are a believer or not. Here is the wisdom I receive today as I prepare for April's focus on developing a willingness that makes me able to succeed:
Isaiah advises us, "For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, 'In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.' But you were not willing" ~ Isaiah 30:15.
We miss out on good things in life when we are unwilling to cooperate in doing what is needful for achieving the good we desire. God through Isaiah tells us that our consenting to cooperate with laws, rules, guidelines, etc., leads to our eating "the best of the land" (Isaiah 1:18-20). Willingness to do what we must for what we want is a necessary mindset for overcoming temptation and the failure to achieve. Develop a willingness to do what it takes within the boundaries of what is good, right, and true, and you will go far in life.
"If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself" ~ John 7:17.

Back then I didn't know I was doing low carb. I just cut out all junk foods and mainly ate meat and salads. I was a huge coffee drinker back then and lived off of it during the day ( used sweet n low in it back then. Drink it black these days and only 3 cups a day. ). And I exercised 2 hours a day every day plus I didn't own a car so I walked anywhere I needed to go. Sometimes I was getting in 10 miles or more a day all total. And I had a toddler I had to keep after so I didn't do a lot of sitting. But I kept the majority of the weight off until I went into full menopause in 2005. Since then I've gained 130 lbs. I've got to get it back off.
