Hi! I'm Annie and Ive been a Sparker off and on Since 2009. I gained weight after meeting my husband in 2004 and picking up his eating habits. Totally my fault, I know! But its no fair, he can literally eat ANYTHING while I glance at a carrot stick and my butt gets wider! So, from '04 to '09 I gained 80 lbs (from 200 to 280). I have since lost that with primarily portion control and some working out. My goal now is ditching another 41 lbs and hopefully finding strength and endurace ...

I want to be healthy for myself, my relationship, and our future children (and to not lose my dignity passing out at the top of the stairs!)
10/10/13: Currently Im trying to work through a plateau I seem to have hit once I reached 199 lbs (been fluctuating from 204-199 since June and unfortunately its killing my motivation. I'm starting strength training and learning to run. Biggest ally still is tracking food.

Fitness Minutes: 3,156
Lose weight and gain muscle/stamina/flexibility to feel and be healthier and be able to maintain it. Ultimately, I want to be able to actually run a mile +. The WHOLE mile. Without dying. And then a 5k, running, of course. And also climb all 4 flights of stairs to my office with out nearly passing out halfway up.

RUNNING the Santa Dash 5k, December 13, 2014. Bday present to me!
Portion control first and foremost! I can not stress that enough. And Moderation. I dont really believe in deprivation and cutting away things. It only leads to bingeing and cravings. Theres almost always a healthier version of what you want or even easier, a smaller portion.
Cardio - currently working on 5k training (as of 7/1/13) so mostly walking and running.
Strength training with free weights. Must build muscle, will burn fat!
I am 32 years old and live in Hillsboro MO. I am married to an amazing man and we have two crazy Chihuahua's, hoping to add to the clan soon with a baby. I make my living working in an office sitting on my butt in front of a computer (part of the reason I gained the weight) but would rather earn a living outside. I'm a country/mountain girl at heart. I LOVE music (all kinds all the time), books, watching old movies, funny sitcoms, good wine, dark chocolate, bonfires, fishing, collecting shoes, and being crafty.
