My name is Denise, I am married to the most awesome man there is, I have 3 children, 2 step children and 1 grandson.

I have been over weight for most of my life. I remember once back in the summer of 7th grade I lost a lot of weight. I most likely was at my ideal weight for height and age. But because I had been over weight all my friends told me that I looked sick or skeletal.... so that led to getting lazy and eating and yep you guessed it back to being over weight. And there I have stayed, but not for lack of trying not to. I have tried all sorts of diets, gimmicks, and pills. Not to mention reading dozens of diet books.

I did have some success with weight watchers several years back but after about 6 mo quit becasue I couldn't afford the weekly fee. So once again the weight came back.

I am currently unemployed for the last year. So with that I have managed to put on a few pounds. One would think with all this time on my hands I wouldn't have an excuse to not be losing weight or not have the time to work out regularly.

Recently I have been becoming more aware of the way I feel and look. I also have been paying much more attention to my relationship with food. I have realized to my dismay that I am addicted. At times I absolutely crave carbs or sugar, like a drug. I also have realized I eat in secret which really scares me.

I am really thankful I found SP. I have read some really amazing and encouraging stories. Makes me think I can really do this....this time for sure!!!

My Goals:
1. to consistenly drink my required amount of water every day.

2. to feel better

3. to be healthy

4. to exercise more


My Program:
I need to learn how to be honest with my self about how much I am eating. So I plan on measuring and tracking everything I put into my mouth.

I plan on exercising more.
