MY JOURNEY BACK TO SPARK IN 2013 (March 2013):

A few weeks ago my husband and I went to Orlando for a theme park vacation. I didn't fit in the "normal" seat of one of the roller coasters and had to ride it in the "modified" seat. While at the time I wasn't as upset as I would expect from myself, since being back it has really bothered me.

I'm tired of being unhealthy, fat, and out of shape. I hope that this was, to quote my favorite Disney ride (Figment), the "one little Spark of inspiration" I need to stick with it this time.

SPARK SUMMARY 2013-2014 (January 5, 2015):

March - December of 2013: I lost about 30 lbs using SparkPeople.

January - December 2014: I gained back 15 lbs. Floated in and out of restarting SparkPeople. Tried to consistently go to Zumba even without tracking calories. Partly due to injuries early in the year and working crazy hours later in the year (including 7 weeks without a day off work) I got out of the habit of exercise also.

NEW PLAN (January 5, 2015):

Originally when I started Spark I made 17 week goals. So for 17 weeks my plan is to:

Lose approximately 1-2 pounds/week.

Stay within the given calorie range/day.

Track calorie intake.

Cardio exercise 3 times /week for 60 minutes.

For all Dad's ""Happy Father's Day""
I want to share with you a quote about Fathers'. I came across.

My Dad said ALL of these things many, many times, as I am sure your Dad did. (at least a few, anyway).
All these things bring up so, so many memories of my Dad. He passed away over 5 years ago, but there isn't a day that I do not think about him, and the special memories of him. This morning when I woke up, before I even got up, I looked up, and said "Happy Father's Day, Dad"
I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did!
