Still at it ;)

In 2008 I lost 50 pounds and was extremely fit I even ran a marathon, yup just over 42 km(26.2 miles) I kept it off for a year or so, then gradually gained 40 back. I said enough already and lost 30 pounds, and then, you guessed it, the scale once again started it's upward climb and I gained 13 pounds back. So 2013 brought a new resolve to lose the weight once and for all, I lost the 13 pounds but here I sit still trying to lose 35 pounds.
What am I going to do differently this year? ...

What am I going to do differently this year? I have hired a personal trainer to get me through the strength training which I keep putting off . I have restarted my running program that a back injury put a halt to last spring, and I have my lovely fit bit (which I have become addicted to) to keep a running total of the calories I my or may not consume and of course my fantastically supportive spark friends.

Thanks for stopping by and giving me some support on my blog...it's funny, you don't realize how quickly a year can pass, yet you look back and there it is-GONE. I don't want to be in the same place a year from now, so I think it is time we banded together and really knocked some of these unhealthy habits to the curb and move forward with better health. Thanks for your support and friendship!!

I see that you decorated your page for the holidays...beautiful !
Thanks so much for your comments on my status. Mom has a perpetual tree in her room. I redecorate it every few weeks. Usually it is for the current holiday, but sometimes I do some different theme, like tropical stuff in the middle of the summer, butterflies in the spring, farm animals with tractors and barn at the top, seed packets and flowers....
Mom really enjoys it and it draws staff into her room They enjoy it too.
