My name is Maria. I started my journey July 5, 2011, with a goal to lose 100 - 110 pounds. I joined the gym on August 29, 2011 and have tried to be consistent in working out every day.

It has been one year. I did not reach the goal I set for myself to lose 104 pounds. However, I did manage to lose 97 pounds during this one year. I had surgury which kept me out of the gym for 6 weeks. I remain on track and set a new goal of reaching that 104 pounds by August 15, 2012.

As of this writing, 8/23/2012, I weigh in at 133 lbs. I have managed to lose 100 pounds. Woooo hooooo! With 4 more pounds to go to reach my goal I set one year ago, I have had to set a new date to reach that goal. Hopefully by 9/2/12, I will lose that 4 pounds. If not, I am sure I am building more muscle, losing inches, and will definitely reach this goal eventually. I remain consistent in my food choices and work out routines. I am determined to stay focused.
