I am a Christian, happily married, mom to 5, musician, temporarily helping a friend with her cleaning business, and an Independent Beauty Consultant. Busy with changing my sedentary lifestyle to a more active one, eating a healthier diet, and having fun while doing so... time to quit looking at numbers on a scale and to start living life and enjoying it as I make healthy changes for me!

Current Status:
MSBEKANATOR is is getting ready for a busy weekend. Youngest graduates H.S. on Sat., playing Sunday at the VA Hospital and major rehearsal for Monday, and Monday we play at our communities Memorial Day Service.

My Goals:
To get to know God in a more intimate way.
To get down to a "normal" BMI.
To "find" myself as I transition from full time mom to an empty nester.
To recapture my dreams and live my life to the fullest.
To be able to run a 5K again.

My Program:
When I started my healthy lifestyle journey my weight was 286 pounds, and I was completely sedentary. Much of the food I was consuming was fast food or packaged prepared foods, and other quick and easy choices. The first thing I did was to cut out most of my fast food consumption. Next I added in drinking more water. Finally I added in exercise to the equation (thanks to Spark Guy and his "you can do 10 minutes" concept) Now I am down almost 40 pounds, and a few sizes. I love the energy I have, and the ability to do so many more things!
Starting May 21, 2013
1. I am going to track my food. "If I bite it, I write it" is my motto for the next 6 weeks...
2. I am going to measure my food.
3. I am going to keep on eating healthy foods, but control my portion sizes.
4. I am going to exercise at least 10 minutes a day, every day. And I am only going to count it as meeting my goal if it is something that I am doing just to exercise, not if it is a part of my day. So even
