Thanks for the bloglove. Funny how much I admire people who can plan ahead for the whole week, have almost no respect for my fly-by-the-strings-of-my-apron approach to cooking, except when there's an emergency and I am able to pull a victory out of my freezer, yet can't seem to change my ways. You'd think I'd just go do what I admire. I am much more of a plan a day kind of person - and maybe that's good enough. Guess I'm still working this one out. But, again, thanks for laughing with me. 9 hours ago
Gabby's surgery is this morning. She will have brain surgery at 7:30 am. We are believing for a successful surgery and a full, speedy recovery. Thank you for standing with us in faith! 10 hours ago
My dad was an orphan and was taken as a foster child on a farm as a teen. He had been a city boy. My grandpa thought it would be good for him to raise lambs. He was supposed to bring them down state. They got everything ready and went to start the truck and it wouldn't start. My grandpa didn't want him to be disappointed, so got out grandma's brand new car and put some blankets over the seats. They loaded up the lambs, stopping to clean the car every once in awhile. I don't think grandma was very happy about the car situation, but it was a wonderful memory for a city boy that didn't have very many good memories.
I was in 4H, but it was a suburban chapter, so animals were not a part of my experience. 1 day ago
