I'm a busy mom, secretary, EMT (21 years), fireman (10 years)
and storm spotter(6 years), all rolled into one! I am 60 years old and have raised 5 children, the youngest being 20 but growing up fast. I have 4 grandchildren. I work in an insurance agency with my husband and have been here for 35 years. I didn't work part of the time while I was raising the children but it has been pretty steady for the last 30 years. Since we are located in a very small town in a rural area, we all wear many hats. We are involved in almost every civic organization in our community and very active in church and 4-H, as well. It makes for a busy life!

"And Miles to Go before I Sleep!"

You are so right about the Corn Palace. We have been there a couple of times. I am always awed by the pictures they are able to create. I still remember my 1st visit was when I was a teenager and we took a camping trip all the way to Yellowstone from ILL and then down to Phoenix before returning home. So many great memories and sights. My step-father was a minister so we used his 1 Sunday off and traveled to see the country from the Monday after Sunday services till the Fri before he had to return to prepare for his Sermon on Sun. following our trip. Got to see a lot of the country on a very limited budget but it sure did give me a love of seeing this great country.

Just maybe this fall we can meet for lunch-are you close to the interstate? We are planning a trip to SD to the Badlands and Rapid City area on our way to other destinations and depending on how we go we might be close so we could veer off maybe and meet up for lunch. Will keep you in the loop in case this really happens!!! Would so love to meet even for an hour or so.
